Climategate: The BBC is still pretending not to notice

Here’s a blog entry by Robin Horbury from Biased BBC. Most believers in AGW (who I accept include the majority of scientists in this field) acknowledge the significance of the Climategate scandal, breaking as it has on the eve of the Copenhagen summit. But the BBC is holding firm, providing far less than the bare minimum of coverage that licence payers have a right to expect. As Horbury puts it:

So far, the BBC has done virtually nothing about Climategate and, if anything, has cranked up its AGW reporting to fever pitch. This is what Richard Black says on his blog this morning:

As far as I’ve been able to ascertain, climate politics elsewhere remains unimpressed by allegations that the CRU documents undermine the very basis of the forthcoming negotiations; but it’s a question that I will be asking when the Copenhagen talks open.

I don’t no where he’s been doing his “ascertaining” (he could try, for simple starters, here, here or here) but such a response … illustrates just how seriously wrong the BBC is on this issue. I will await with interest to hear just how hard he pursues the question he intends to put. But don’t hold your breath. He’ll probably be as tough and persevering as Evan Davis was when he “interviewed” Bob Geldof this morning on Today (that is, he listened admiringly to every word of nonsense he uttered)

Zionista, Henry Waxman, says that the media needs government help. After I stopped laughing, I reflected on the hard and incontrovertible fact that primarily Zionist-Jewish interests control 96% of the world media.

Waxman says, "We cannot risk the loss of an informed public and all that means because of this market failure" (more laughter). I don't know what informed public Waxman is talking about but it wouldn't be in America unless, all of a sudden, the American public has switched off this endangered media and migrated in a large, bleating mass to the alternative, internet news sites. I haven't seen that. The official stockyards and approved grazing areas are still packed full of head-bobbing sheep. The resurrection theme of Easter has a different meaning for sheep; lambs in particular.

However, the mass media is losing revenue so some migration or simple avoidance must be taking place.

Here is a damning and seriously news-worthy article that exposes who did 9/11 and there's no mention of it in the endangered media. It had disappeared from its original spot yesterday with the notice that it couldn't be found- now it's back up- so I'm going to link it twice just in case. This is the same free and independent media that's been whitewashing the climate scandal; except for Sump Pump Murdoch's crew who represent the emergent elite at war with the established elite. You can't tell the players without a score card and the mass media prints those too.

This is the same free and independent media that shilled for the wars in Afghanistan, Iraq and now Iran. This is the media that has been caught out in more proven lies than I can count. This is the free and independent media that didn't cover the Gaza genocide and turns a blind eye to what has been happening inPalestine for 60 years. Still, in this case, they are definitely too big to fail. If they fail, then who can the government and the corporations use to keep the people in line with the official program of lies; corruption, wholesale theft, mass murder and the ever encroaching suppression of the freedom of movement and speech? More importantly, what will Israel do to continue its total control of American domestic and foreign policy? How will they continue to convince Americans to send their children to die in their wars? The mass media is far too big and important to be allowed to fail.

Climategate is a global household name. No cat has ever emancipated itself more completely from the bag. It is a world-wide scandal – thanks to the internet. Yet, as its ramifications proliferate and dominoes continue to fall, the most repeatedly asked question online is: how can the mainstream media ignore this? Well, we know the answer to that: the MSM are in thrall to the leftist consensus. End of story. But let me pose a follow-up question that may be becoming more imminently relevant.

Are the mainstream media capable of surviving their sidelining of the number one global scoop? Are they finally committing suicide? Are they, in fact, any longer mainstream? Every historian knows that any significant trend in society will show warning symptoms over a long period; but the final catastrophe will usually be triggered by a single event. For the moribund MSM that decisive blunder may well be Climategate.

Another feature of any doomed institution is that it signals its imminent demise by behaving in a manner that is contrary to its nature and purpose. Every city in the developed world contains news rooms in which cringing journalists struggle to satisfy the imperative demands of editors for a scoop. Yet the obvious scoop – the BIG ONE of journalistic mythology – is consigned to the waste basket. This is the journalism of Isvestia and Pravda, with all the commercial viability that attached to that school of news reporting.

The dead-tree press is already on the critical list. In the United States, in the six months to 31 March this year, newspaper circulation slumped by 7 per cent, according to the US Audit Bureau of Circulations. This was a steeper decline than in the two previous recorded periods (you can reasonably attribute that to the vomit-inducing idolatry of Barack Obama that permeated the American press at that time). In the UK the comparable figure was 5 per cent. How many businesses do you know that record such declines, in an unreversed trend, and survive?

To be fair on this one Ax, there is no Australian NEWS, as such, on this case. Because journalism has been scaled back so much at Fairfax et al, it is only appropriate to describe the media content as reporting, not journalistic NEWS.
Thus the rate at which reports become available is entirely determined by the release rate by the Police investigation. To date their progress has been pretty good in my view. (At least they did not take 3 days to open the car boot, as happened in the 'other' uncelebrated case).

Well, yes, at first sight it looks remarkable for someone to assemble all this

in a relatively short time,
for a relatively obscure Aussie.

But, how much of it is really new, and how much was already resident in software data-bases just waiting to be called up by the search engine? I don't know the answer to that rhetorical.

It will only be a genuine case of 'getting ahead of the validated news cycle' if the results of the search engine survive validation.

Nevertheless, an interesting article you brought to our attention.
