So, reading about light-years in space etc., and all that other awesome stuff, I was thinking...
For argument's sake, we have the following scenario: Assuming you get into space, with infinite fuel, and nothing in the direction you intend on going for infinite distance: If you kept accelerating, would it eventually get to the point where you would be travelling faster than the speed of light? I don't see how there's really a "top speed" in space, since there's nothing to slow you down (like air/whatever). Of course, you could always hit a huge rock, but you get my drift. Thoughts? |
