Hi,
Ok the Nab cup has started and as most people know, Victorians take their AFL very seriously. Anyways, we have a chess players league consisting of a few MCC regulars. So if you play Supercoach and want to join our league send me a private pm and I will send you an invite. cheers,

AFL Super Coaches? Isn't it just a matter of putting more cocaine into the water bottles of fast running thugs?

That's why it was hilarious a few years ago when the Brisbane Lions played Port Adelaide in the Grand Final and Victorians were scratching their head wondering who to cheer for. No Victorian team in the final, no - can't be. Things like that just don't happen

Hi,
Nice score of 2,230 for you Jaydon, especially with Gray,Rockliff and Podsiadly being not selected. Gray should return this week and I see you have Lance Franklin back from suspension. Seems Supercoach made an error giving you 2300+ for the first round, which was interesting as I had never seen that occur in the past. Our league looks quite strong at the top. Phil and Kelvin are always tough and both are former MCC chessplayers. The guy who is leading Hanns Heros scored 2625 (SYD) 1. MALCESKI, Nick $273,500 $+0 ($+0) (139) 139.00 (COL) 2. SHAW, Heath $503,100 $+0 ($+0) (139) 139.00 (HAW) 3. HODGE, Luke $485,600 $+0 ($+0) (121) 121.00 (STK) 4. GILBERT, Sam $509,100 $+0 ($+0) (116) 116.00 (GEE) 5. ENRIGHT, Corey $519,100 $+0 ($+0) (GEE) 6. HUNT, Josh $252,300 $+0 ($+0) (WCE) 7. WATERS, Beau $151,100 $+0 ($+0) (BRL) 8. MAGUIRE, Matt $114,000 $+0 ($+0) (RIC) 9. NASON, Ben $94,200 $+0 ($+0) (34) 34.00 (FRE) 10. BARLOW, Michael $111,400 $+0 ($+0) Next opponent: Essendon 13 (151) 151.00 (COL) 11. SWAN, Dane $654,500 $+0 ($+0) (145) 145.00 (GEE) 12. BARTEL, Jimmy $578,400 $+0 ($+0) (124) 124.00 (PTA) 13. BANNER, Mitchell $100,200 $+0 ($+0) (90) 90.00 (WCE) 14. SHUEY, Luke $100,200 $+0 ($+0) (83) 83.00 (COL) 15. BALL, Luke (81) 81.00 (RIC) 16. MARTIN, Dustin $169,200 $+0 ($+0) (72) 72.00 (ESS) 17. MCVEIGH, Mark $342,400 $+0 ($+0) 0 (FRE) 18. SANDILANDS, Aaron $538,600 $+0 ($+0) Next opponent: Essendon 5 (124) 124.00 (BRL) 19. CLARK, Mitch $498,100 $+0 ($+0) (51) 51.00 (CAR) 20. WARNOCK, Robert $132,200 $+0 ($+0) (47) 47.00 (WBD) 21. ROUGHEAD, Jordan $100,200 $+0 ($+0) 0 (STK) 22. RIEWOLDT, Nick $600,500 $+0 ($+0) (163) 163.00 (CAR) 23. BETTS, Eddie $399,100 $+0 ($+0) (136) 136.00 (BRL) 24. BROWN, Jonathan $525,400 $+0 ($+0) (130) 130.00 (SYD) 25. O'KEEFE, Ryan $576,300 $+0 ($+0) (117) 117.00 (NTH) 26. ZIEBELL, Jack $320,800 $+0 ($+0) (110) 110.00 (COL) 27. MEDHURST, Paul $320,400 $+0 ($+0) (100) 100.00 (ADE) 28. DANGERFIELD, Patrick $332,700 $+0 ($+0) (93) 93.00 (GEE) 29. PODSIADLY, James $83,400 $+0 ($+0) (0) N/A (BRL) 30. ROCKLIFF, Tom $109,200 $+0 ($+0) Cannot see Eddie Betts scoring 136points every week,(even though he normally scores well against the Tigers), and was slightly surprised at how well Ziebell (110) and Dangerfield (93) went. Sandilands (124) and Reiwoldt (163) looked like they were going to have really big seasons.

Yeah thanks I was pleased with the score considering gray late withdrawl and buddy out. I was too busy hecitcally fixing my dreamteam prior to lockout that I forgot to select rookies that would actually play on supercoach.. Had to waste a trade for that
![]() I saw that too, similar problems on dreamteam, apparently the leader in on of the leagues I'm in actually scored less then me when you click on his profile, interesting.. Eddie betts did do well preseason.. but you need to take into account it was a first round against the ...MIGHTY... tigers What about Barlow!!! What an absolute gunEDIT: just looked at our league and yes a few good scores up there! (including yours I see...) Should be some fun! Last edited by Jaydon : 03-29-2010 at 02:49 PM |

Hi,
Goat has a bad week. Harvey, Tippet, Medhurst,Hall and Didak all perform way below expectation. Most disappointed with the Collingwood forward performance against Melbourne. 1% is a juggernaut that must be stopped. Hands in the Back lurking nicely in second place. Jaydon has a good week. Who scored big for you Jay? cheers

It was alright, I'm outside the top 10,000 though. I can tell you who didn't score big for me bloody Robbie Gray!! Clark, anthony and mitchell!
Speaking of Mitchell, for goodness sake the guy racked up 50 by quarter time in dream team and didn't even hit 100 by the end of it.. and yeah the 1%ers are in the top 1,000 overall, good job. And just looking at it now we might end up having a decent rivalry. Although I can see myself faltering at the end having to make stupid trades due to forgetting about supercoach prior to lockout.... |

I was talking to some people about 1%ers team and its as if he has an extra million dollars in the salary cap. Nobody can work out how he has managed to fit so many good players into his team.... He has both Ablett and Swan, plus most of the better players in forward and back lines plus Sandilands in the ruck.... And he does this year in year out..... I know this first hand, because he beat me in last years grand final....

Hi,
Early days yet. Looks like you suffered a bit of a mishap Jaydon against one of the kids. I thought Kelvin got the highest high score this week with 2208 for 5,788th. However it appears 1% had a 2265 for 1449th. This seemed to suggest a low scoring round for most people this week. On another note.....How long will Shuey be out for? There seems to be very little information on his injury. I heard it was a broken knee cap which probably means 6-8 weeks. Sam Mitchell has been very disappointing and he is another one on the injury watch list. cheers,

The last two weeks have been absolute train wrecks. In fact it got to the stage where I was considering quitting. If rage was definable on a scale I would have been at a solid 9. I Therefore now have no further expectations of dream team or supercoach and an outside top 8 performance would not surprise me.

hehe,
the weird thing is if Jaydon had just made some compulsory changes ie Seaby he would probably be winning this league
