Of course you can choose ten of Alex Jones' points if you like, but please stick to an actual factual claim that is relevant to the debate.

Question 1? Is climate change a real phenomena? After, you answer this one withe a simple yes,no or maybe/possibly then we can investigate how we form different opinions!

Forget global warming - it's Cycle 25 we need to worry about (and if NASA scientists are right the Thames will be freezing over again) | Mail Online
'The supposed ‘consensus’ on man-made global warming is facing an inconvenient challenge after the release of new temperature data showing the planet has not warmed for the past 15 years. The figures suggest that we could even be heading for a mini ice age to rival the 70-year temperature drop that saw frost fairs held on the Thames in the 17th Century. Based on readings from more than 30,000 measuring stations, the data was issued last week without fanfare by the Met Office and the University of East Anglia Climatic Research Unit. It confirms that the rising trend in world temperatures ended in 1997.'

A few points that I think need to be cleared up here:
-Atmospheric pCO2 levels have gone up notably and continue to rise. that is undeniable. It is also undeniable that we burn a lot of stuff that increases atmospheric CO2. -The Greenhouse Effect is a real thing. Undeniable. -If pCO2 continues to rise, it will likely make the atmosphere warmer. That does not mean, however, that net temperature change will always be warmer given all the other things that impact temperature too. That is why the whole "temperatures have been cooling for x years" point is not very strong. -Should pCO2 continue to rise, eventually it will likely warm the atmopshere enough that we not only see net warming, but notable warming. -Whether or not the warming will be good or bad is more subjective than is often led to believe by politicians. Some areas would likely benefit from greater warmth to grow crops, etc. while others that are already hot might get hurt because of it. The melting of the ice caps could pose a problem too. |
