How do you see the medal table turning out this time round? Will there be a greater share of the silverware for developing nations?
Do you see the US being toppled at the top of the table? Although there are certain disciplines the general issue Asian physique is not really suited to (such as swimming) I still think on home turf China will go surprisingly close to topping the table this time round due to great improvements in other areas (such as track and gym disciplines). Any thoughts? |

Ahh I still have to go with the US for most of the events. They always seem to find a way to put together the best athletes as well as combine pretty good strategy into their games. I don't think the location of the event will really dictate whose going to take the medals this year

We currently have 11 gold medals which is the same as Germany.
China on the other hand is leading us by 32 gold medals! And overall we're in 4th place which is not too bad. Great Britain is only ahead by 2 so we could probably pass them. |

It is all in the calculus.
Medals per head of population we always kill the whole world.
