Thumbs down Peter Slipper Parade

So the Speaker will now have a parade grand entry process before sitting down in his chair. What a great idea. Using a tradition everyday to make people think you are more important than you really are.

I cannot believe this self indulgent behaviour. We are suppose to be a contemporary society and Peter wants to take us back to the dark ages! He betrayed his party and electorate and is using this position for what will hopefully be his last hooray when the voters have their say. Pompus clown sitting at the chair of all pompus clowns. A government and opposition both fit for little better than some tin pot third world country the way they behave. And heaven help us because we get either one of them and neither is fit to rule a magpies nest as far as I'm concerned.

Pomp and Circumstance. This guy has delusions of grandeur. Peter, please do not try to emulate Sir Arthur Sneddon.

Haven't politicians always had a tremendous sense of self importance? This is a non-story to me. Let him have his parade. I am not forced to watch it.
