No it isn't heard about much. You ask Why?

When anthroprogenic warming started, people of good will and wisdom though that we could avoid climatic catastrophe by going to renewable energy sources. They also thought that advertising "fixes" that may or may not work, were additional assaults on the already destabilised planetary weather system. Further, humans are loath to take the better hard road in favour of techno quick fixes.

Frankly, I think the quick fixes are the only hope. CO2 and CH4 have gone past the tipping point and are now in a feed-forward loop that will, if not arrested, fry us.
