When the communion wafer is being turned into the body and blood of Christ is it being genetically modified?

Monsanto: The world’s poster child for corporate manipulation and deceit

Monsanto’s public relations story about genetically modified organisms (GMOs) are largely based on five concepts.

1. GMOs are needed to feed the world.
2. GMOs have been thoroughly tested and proven safe.
3. GMOs increase yield.
4. GMOs reduce the use of agricultural chemicals.
5. GMOs can be contained, and therefore coexist with non-GM crops.

All five are pure myths — blatant falsehoods about the nature and benefit of this infant technology. The experience of former Monsanto employee Kirk Azevedo helps expose the first two lies, and provides some insight into the nature of the people working at the company.

Default Thank You Media For Keeping Us Informed ! Lol

Infographic: All The Genetically Modified Food You're Eating | Fast Company

GMO crops have infiltrated 80% of all the packaged food in the United States, and no one has told you. Here's why.

Genetically modified food is in a store near you today. In fact, it's been there for years. You may not know it, but in all the fracas over genetically modified food, one point is often left out: You've been eating it for a long time and no one has told you. This infographic from Nature's Path--which makes organic cereals, bars, and waffles that contain no GMO ingredients, they'd like you to know--shows where you're getting your genetically modified treats, and why no one has told you:

Many crops are genetically modified so frequently, it's nearly impossible to find non-GMO versions. These modifications usually involve either a seed manufacturer making their seeds genetically resistant to a certain type of weed-killer (that the seed company also conveniently sells--synergy!) or to make plants resistant to certain pests naturally.

You may not know that you're eating these crops--despite the fact that they appear in 80% of all packaged food sold in the country--because the U.S. is one of the few places in the developed world that doesn't require food producers to disclose whether or not their ingredients have any modifications.

If something is labeled "organic" by the USDA, that means it has no GMO crops. The Non-GMO Project is also working on a system for labeling products that aren't genetically enhanced. To be fair, there isn't any science that proves that GMO crops are at all bad for consumption; there also aren't any that confirm that they're safe. For now, we're in the dark. And more and more GMO products--like Monsanto's sneaky, unlabeled sweet corn, the first direct-to-consumer GMO food--are coming to market every day. The full infographic is here:

» Monsanto: ‘There is no need for, or value in testing the safety of GM foods in humans’ Alex Jones' Infowars: There's a war on for your mind!

There is a growing body of scientific evidence which proves that genetically-modified organisms (GMOs) are inherently different from natural organisms, including the way the body processes them, as well as how the immune system responds to them. But Monsanto, the largest purveyor of GMOs in the world, believes that GMOs are no different than natural organisms, and that GMO testing is both needless and valueless.
In theWhy aren’t you running human clinical trials on GM crops?section of Monsanto’sFood Safetypage, the biotechnology giant explains its opinion that GMOs are “substantially equivalent” to natural organisms. According to Monsanto, since concentrations of proteins, carbohydrates, and other nutrient factors vary among natural crops, as well as among natural and GM crops, then these differences are automatically unimportant in light of GMO safety.
Furthermore, Monsanto claims that its injection of foreign DNA into its GM crops is also automatically safe because, get this, DNA is present in natural crops as well. Never mind that the injected DNA is foreign and unnatural, and is used to alter the entire genetic structure of GM crops — according to Monsanto, its unnatural DNA is automatically non-toxic because every other plant also has DNA. Case closed.
Using this same absurd illogic, injecting foreign animal DNA into a developing human baby, for instance, must also be safe because that baby contains DNA, right? Or how about drinking antifreeze, which is made of atoms, because your body is also made of atoms? Based on Monsanto’s pseudoscientific nonsense, everythingcan be considered non-toxic and safe because it is all made of atoms, just like our bodies!

Eat it up Monsanto! | Greenpeace International

Caroline Jacobsson
Greenpeace
February 11, 2012

COMMENT: Monsanto staff won’t eat it, but the general public is subjected to GMOs without informed consent via labeling, or warnings about tests that demonstrate danger of organ failure, sterility and cancer.

There’s a story doing the rounds again, about how Monsanto, one of the world’s largest profiteers of genetically engineered (GE) food, banned GE food from its own corporate canteens!
Monsanto had its pants pulled down by Friends of the Earth in 1999, who revealed that the company was refusing to serve to its own staff the very same GE food that it incessantly foists upon impoverished nations on the premise that it will save populations from starvation. Although it has never been proved, Monsanto constantly claims that GE food is harmless – so why wasn’t it serving it in its own office?
In one canteen, run by external provider, Sutcliffe Catering, a notice read that a decision has been taken to remove, as far as practicable, GE soya and maize from all food products served in the canteen. “We have taken the above steps to ensure that you, the customer, can feel confident in the food we serve”, the provider said.
“We believe in choice”, said Monsanto, while the company actually made sure that by not serving GE food in its canteens they did not give staff the opportunity to ‘choose’ whether or not to eat GE food as they de facto ensure that the staff did not get to eat GE food. Yet the same choice isn’t available to farmers around the world, who most of the time have no choice but to plant GE crops, thanks to a seed market that is often dominated by Monsanto.

GM foods not served in Monsanto cafeteria
Crisis Boom
August 22, 2011
The Independent newspaper reports that there is a notice in the cafeteria of the Monsanto pharmaceutical factory is High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, advising customers “as far as practicable, GM soya and maize (has been removed) from all food products served in our restaurant. We have taken the steps to ensure that you, the customer, can feel confident in the food we serve.”
The notice was posted by the Sutcliffe Catering Group.
Monsanto confirms the authenticity of the notice, but company spokesman Tony Coombes says the only reason for the GM-free foods is because the company “believes in choice.” Coombes says in other Monsanto locations employees are happy to eat GM foods because they are “sprayed with fewer chemicals.”
