Interesting topic: World currency - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Apparently the benefits of having a global currency is that such a currency would not suffer from inflation.
I don't think there will ever be a world currency, but the Euro will become the most commonly used currency of the lot. That much seems likely.

I agree with him Axiom. As more countries continue to join the EU, it seems sensible that more of them will adopt the Euro as their currency.

Because a global currency would make the exploitation of third world countries harder to achieve. Hence, the average consumer would not be able to buy socks from Big W for $2 a pair!

Of course a one world government will happen eventually Axiom. That's not news to anybody. However, the topic of this thread is one world currency, and whether it is in everyone's best interest to have only one currency.

Perhaps. But I agree with Noddy, if you have something to share, please share it.
