Vlad seems like a reasonable guy. Unfortunately, the rest of us are not involved with the NSWJCL, so we cannot help because we are not as familiar with the issue as him. If Vlad is certain of his facts then he ought to just name people. After all, many state associations, and even the ACF, have histories of one or two individuals rorting funds.

Transparency is very important when making such claims. At the moment, most people don't know the parents,officials or players involved in the matter. He won't be sued if he makes simple factual comments that are watertight. Simple facts like who received funding and who investigated the matter would help.

I heard a nasty rumour from Vlad that the ACF made the JCL problem even worse by not doing their job re complaints and using divisive jealousy tactics between state delegates. The ACF appears to be seriously letting down junior chess and are only answerable to themselves.

We certainly need stirrers like Vlad the Impaler.

Hi all,

If there are hassles with junior chess issues shouldnt the main body of reference be the AusJCL and not ACF - just a thought.

well the AusJCL did not even exist back then and as well ACF is the body that handles FIDE stuff, so delegates have to be approved by ACF

Hi AC,

So you are saying that all the problems were earlier than 2 years ago and there is no need to refer anything to AusJCL. In other words everything is now terrific with NSWJCL and there interaction with juniors - I'm happy to hear that!

obviously not as far as Vlad is concerned, I don't know if his gripes hold water but for the ACF to previously take action something must have been up and still may be.

I don't know how they handle such problems so I have no idea, and I don't mix with juniors anymore but if they came out proving their innocence it would be a good move.
