Igor, I can understand your stance even if I don't agree with your points and conclusions - but I was genuinely making the point of the possible contradiction.

But i find when people resort to the ploy of embedding remarks like that to encourage a reaction , its best to hammer them on the central points rather than become diffused in, what in the context of the discussion, is a relatively trivial and distractive point . So yes you were quite right to question fg's use of that emotive term , but i would say not to the extent of making that the exclusive thrust of your missive .
