Hi I'm from Central NSW. Can't say I have alot of chess knowledge but I'm interested to learn it. Before I was pretty lazy and didn't bother learning rules so I stuck to something simple like checkers but now I'd like to get interested in chess, it's classified as a sport these days isn't it? lol

. Yeah I think chess is technically classified as a sport but most people, I think, would be more inclined to think of it as a board game. I personaly don't mind either way!Reagrds, Jaydon |

Hey thanks for all the welcomes!
So, do we have a clear idea of if chess is a sport or not? It's interesting to know about the IOC but just because they say it does it mean it's a sport? The trouble I have is that if chess is a sport that would mean chess players would be athletes lol chess is definetaly a game of the mind and requires alot of logic but it certainly isn't phsyical. Might make you sweat though. |
