My real name is Michael but I use Apollo62 because I use that practically everywhere else on the net and I don't want to end up being confused about who I'm supposed to be on whatever site I happen to be on,lol. I am primarily a correspondence player, a member of the Correspondence Chess League of Australia with a current rating of 1410 and I have been an active player for the past 6 years. I prefer correspondence mainly because of the convenience as I am employed as my mother's primary carer and I have little time to spare for club or otb play. I've always been interested in the intricacies of opening theory and move calculation and there is just not enough time for me to think at great depth during real time play. I'll happily admit that I'm a weak otb player and would always be losing on time in every game,lol. In general terms, I always have to limit my involvement in CC games as well because there just isn't enough analysis time available for a large number of games. I enjoy chess, mainly because of the great mental workout it gives me. So, don't be shy and say hi. Just because I make my moves using postage stamps doesn't mean I'm likely to bite your head off,lol.
