Generous Offer to Kevin Bonham

As many posters already know, Kevin Bonham was given a time out recently for poor behaviour (being uncivil, argumentative, and endeavouring to sow discord amongst members).

Nevertheless, as OzChess is a caring community and a tolerant community, we never want to cast someone out permanently but would prefer to correct their poor behaviour by setting an example.

So, in the spirit of tremendous generosity to Kevin Bonham, I make him this offer. We will delete his account Kevin Bonham and allow him to create a new named account which he feels comfortable posting under.

If Kevin chooses to sulk in the corner and not accept such a generous offer, then I am content to let him brood away. I am making this offer available to him so he has nothing to whinge about and no leg to stand on if he is unreasonable.

So long as he abides by the site rules with his new account, no action punitive will be taken against him. He will be treated the same as other regular posters. But he is on notice to abide by the site rules, especially the golden rule. Everyone else does, he should be no exception. But as I already mentioned, I seem to be an eternal optimist.

A very fair and generous offer Alex.

It is a very strange circumstance. Kevin appears paranoid about posting on Ozchess under his real name registered account. And at the same time he claims its necessary to have an account registered under his own name because somebody might post under his name. Ridiculous!

Anyway, I personally prefer him not posting on Ozchess, so I hope he doesn't take up your more than generous offer. And I doubt he will.
