Default Moderator's Inbox Size

Considering that myself, LM and Jaydon are now moderators, the amount of PM's we've been getting has increased. Well it has for me anyway. I've had PM's about complaints, requests and questions. This has caused my inbox to fill up rather quickly.

Since we should be getting more PM's with our new roles, I'd like to suggest an increase in the size of the moderator's inbox. This will mean that users will still be able to send messages to us moderators, as it will take a lot to fill up the inbox.

- Thanks.

Great idea!

May I ask whether it is mostly one member in particular making all these complaints

It's not as much as it being a lot of complaints. It's just that the the PM's pile up, particularly due to the fact that there are various reasons that users will want to PM us.

Hi HBK,

As a specific response to issues with complaints, may I suggest an approach utilised on this thread Open Moderation Policy on OzChess

The reasoning behind such an open approach towards complaints is that it prevents ozchess moderators from being intimidated by hostile posters pushing a minority viewpoint. Ozchess has previously suffered minority view attacks from disgruntled Chesschat posters. These posters tend to hold the belief that their complaints should be acted upon without any reflexivity from the community. I encourage you to openly post Ozchess complaints before moderating. This policy allows for democratic participation from the community. At Ozchess we take pride in allowing members to voice their concerns in an open and accountable manner.

cheers,
Fg7

I've noticed we now have room for 500 private messages. Thank You AO.

FG7, yes: I will be taking future complaints to the thread. Thank you for the suggestion.
