What if you have Grandmaster potential like myself? Hubner once said my playing style was similiar to GM Speelman's! So, presumably, if I wanted to become a titled IM or GM, because of my natural talent - I wouldn't need to spend THAT much time studying chess.

Having similar playing style does not mean being a Speelman

But again - nowdays we have such inflation of titles that anybody can become IM or GM - just need to have some patience,time and money to travel to good and interesting tournaments.
In ICC I often meet GMs/IMs playing like very very weak national masters...
So getting a title is not a problem,I think.

8 hours of training - I meant, people with 2600+ who puts big aims etc.
But even if you are weak elo 1800 , working that much for 3-4 month can make you few hundreds elo points stronger.

A weak 1800? I love to someday be 1800. Right now my rating is only 1100.

With abit of practice and a bit more middle and end game knowledge I'm sure you could acheive that. Make sure serious opening study comes last though, especially if your not aiming for 2000+
