Abusive Chess Players - OzChess

I just played a guy who was getting really abusive because I wouldn't resign and it was just ridiculous queen checks for like 60 moves (apparently the 50 move rule doesn't work on FICS). Anyway I feel bad so I trade off queens and he has 4 passed pawns to my 2. He starts calling me pussy.. resign.. etc. Well you can imagine his reaction when he takes the connected passed pawn and I queen (take all his pawns just to annoy him) and shortly after mate him with 2 seconds left on my clock

hahaha good times on FICS good times.

On ICC they were pretty good at policing this kind of thing, but today on FICS I got a mouthful as well. I am down a piece but keep fighting and win the game. Then my opponent tries rematching me and I say no thanks because I have had enough for today. Then he calls me a fag!

I say 'No, I am not a fag!'. He then calls me a fag again. Again I say, 'No, I am not a fag'. He then says 'You suck'. Now I got upset and said 'No, you suck! He must cut and pasted it because then he says it a whole bunch of times.

And all this is because I beat him from being a piece down and wouldn't give him a rematch!

I was playing a friendly game against an older member at our local club and I won and asked him if he wanted a chance to even the score and he goes off on me and says I am being rude and that he just wanted to play a friendly game of chess and there is no score to even, etc etc etc. I reckon some people just take the game far too seriously, it was an innocent expression you know?

Someone once yelled at me because I adjusted a piece on his time. That is as close to abusive behaviour as I have come across from a chess player though.
