Hi,
Where is the option likes to defends lost positions against weaker players for no logical reason. Meh, I think pleads insanity would cover it.

Mainline soltis gives equality for black. Defending lost positions? pfft.Don't blame the opening for ur subpar Play
If u don't have the stones to play the dragon, you should consider playing the Caro kann

Hi all,
I used to play the pirc for about 5 years had good success against weaker players and same strength players. Switched to sicilian the last ten years and much happier - now sometimes win with my dragon against much stronger players- I have my own variation about move 10 with which i have had good success - keep it to myself if you guys dont mind. |

That it may, but, the mainlines from ECO are all generally += for White. So..... My point is, why play this opening against weaker players when you can just outplay them without this theory?

Great..awesome...Theory says I can equalise against a weaker player. I guess the only question now is can I outplay my weaker opponent in an equal ending!

And sicilian endings that are equal can still be dynamic due to the imbalance in pawn structure, especially in the dragon because the king comes to the center really quickly. If you're worried about being unable to outplay a "weaker" player than that's more a reflection on your own strength/skill (or lack of )By the way, what equal ending are you talking about? I was talking about the position where white gets ready to play g4 and sac 2 pawns for the attack lol. |
