For those who haven't been informed of what transpired, what are the allegations against him?

He had an unapproved withdrawal in the Masters. Although, to be fair, he claims to have told the arbiter that he was not going to play anymore. Mirko is an emotional person and he truly believes that James broke the rules. He didn't want to play on under the circumstances. To be honest when I discussed this matter with him in person at MCC, it was fairly obvious that he was very distressed about the incident.

I am unsure whether he obtained a doctors certificate, but it seems obvious that he was too stressed out to play. He even indicated that he couldn't care less about the ACF trying to ban him. Fortunately, Leonid Sandler had a discussion with him and I highly doubt Chessvictoria will take any action against him.

Default Give It A Whirl !

Could someone please pass on a message to mirko , inviting him to ozchess . . I know we would all give him a warm welcome and be open to listening to anything he may want to say on the subject , and if he wants not to talk about it that's ok too .

While on this , 2 others pop into my mind , jammo and samantha . Both too very welcome to hitch a ride on planet ozchess !

So what I've gathered is that he has accused JM of touching his queen as JM was thinknig and then moving his king. Is that right?

What I don't understand is apparently JM was willing to let this guy have his way and move his supposedly touched queen. Why the big scene?

Because if his allegation of touch move was correct he is not happy with JM trying to get away with it, a valid point - that is have best of both worlds without a penalty if you dont get away with it.

you must also realise there is a history between these two players of another violation taking place that was also denied

and if you look for consistency of these two players with other players you may get a wider picture

Well all it was and ever will be is an allegation. If JM, as he claimed, didn't realise then what is the problem here?

I'll even go further, if for whatever reason a player in the same position did deliberately do it I hardly see that justifying storming out and not returning.

So I saw you added this to your post.

I saw your posts with him about that history and from the report there it didn't look good for Rujevic either.

and I'm not really sure what you mean by that last bit
