Kings of chess Incorporated has launched an official campaign
for the Queenslanders to vote for the best Queensland Junior Idol/Idols in chess. At the end of the Year(2011), the best Junior/Juniors will receive prize money. The amount we started with is $500. This amonunt may rise with time. We are not looking for just a talented Junior, he/she must have good etiquette (as sportsman-women) or a very active and creative chessplayer.

I think with this we can always inspire other kids to help and get active in chess organisations. How about young Jack Hughes in Victoria? He does a similar job being an arbiter as my son did in the last three years. Why should we not award these kids? I think David Beaumont started something as to have an official arbiter for the Victorian tournament and he took great initiative. This is just the start of an initiative by Kings of chess Inc and it's really funny that some people from CC asked where the money is coming from. Do we ask Bendigo Bank where the money is coming from if they're sponsoring chess? Do you ask Australian chess enteprises or David Cordover where the money is coming from if they're sponsoring chess? Even If Amir Karibasic is sponsoring this initiative, do we say thank you or do we say: 'Show me the money". If some people are not happy with our initiative then they can start their own campaign and give away $1500 to Juniors like we do! Even if I'm the sponsor and I will be the judge, do I have a right in this or not?

And finally we stopped with a $1500 budget for all Juniors support.
The following Juniors will be supported by Kings of chess club: Each will receive a cheque in amount of $350.00 and $100 will be used to add some recognisation awards for other nominated Juniors ( Liu Yi, Martin Jack and Matthew Pyper) 1. IM Moulthun Ly ( the decision was brought based on his peformance in Queensland, International scene and as an award for becoming an Inetrnational master ) 2. Daniel Lapitan ( Australian Champion under 12 and will perform at 2011 World Championship in Brazil) 3. Sabin Karibasic ( performance as chess arbiter in all Kings of Chess tournaments since 2007 including tournament organization and venue preparations) 4. Melanie Karibasic ( Kings of chess Speaker and chess ambassador since 2007 - including tournament and venue preparations) Good luck to all Juniors in 2012.
