LOL.

But why does it have to be between you two? I want in on this (the smashing-catalan part, not the downing shots part)
Morris-man, we would be delighted to see you at the Bar Open Open circa August 2012.. let's be honest though... without the sign and a drunk Szuveges it's clearly a non-event though surely?

Also, as a side bet, we're going to answer the age-old question: who gets more numbers by being good at chess:

Hikaru Nakamura

or

Grant

I will arbit the match (chat with people at the bar)

Well if I look like I do in the photo, I will be losing that match miserably!!! That photo was taken at the end of a trip to Nepal... If Im going to win this one I will need to shave off that beard and get some product in my hair! To beat Nakamura Id be going with the Juan Peron look...

Im not even sure that I would be the best challenger at MCC to Nakamura anyway: a few weeks back I was at Bar Open with one of MCCs "young roosters" and he did very well indeed - he got 5 phone numbers in a period of about 3 hours!!!

Not telling who it was though - what happens at the pub stays at the pub. But it does say something about MCCs meteoric rise to the top: THEY KNOW WE'RE COMING!!!!!

MCC has won the premiership in the Vic Teams champs and now MCC is playing well off the board as well!!!

You should take into account how many are chess players themselves...

Sounds like a great way to determine who hosts CV Tournaments....each club fields a team of young studs and they all go down to Bar Open. The team with the most phone numbers gets preference for the next tournament.

Or maybe just a different twist on the Teams Championship for 2012!
