Has anyone seen the way Darts is produced and presented on television ?

Look at the way the players are introduced to an enthusiastic rowdy crowd .

Imagine chess tournaments ...with dry ice , bright lights ,models dressed as pawn queens , neon lit chess board-tables , a giant dgt screen ,booze on tap , bubbly nutty commentators , and an MC introducing the warriors .eg..

- Flavid - The Pit Bull - Duuuuuuuuuuude versus David - The Fiiiire Goat Seeeeeeven - Beaumont .

or

Michael - The Barrrrrrrrrrrrrrron - Baaaaaaaaron versus Big Kev - Tyrantosaurus - Bonnnnnnnnnnham !

Chess TV? No way I could think that would actually get anywhere. No offense to the players on this site, but, everyone already thinks golf and baseball are boring. Can't imagine this.

This is more about news in chess than actually watching chess games. Maybe you should take a look at some of the episodes.

I have seen the chess Tv. We definitely need to find new ways to penalize chess players.
