Default What NSW Chess has over Vic Chess

I notice that 7 out of 11 top places in Aus Championships are held by NSW, only one each by Vic, ACT, Qld and O/S.

And our retired GM Rogers is also NSW.

Cry your hearts out.

We needed your notice to even up the bias in event reporting on Ozchess.

So, thanks for that Peter.

And our deceased GM Purdy was also from NSW, the gentleman offered me a game in about 1975.

And in Peter Parrs column in Sydney Morning Herald he praised many juniors but left out Vic junior.....

And Tassie did not even get a mention - is it part of Aussie?

And WA, SA and NT - they only enter the Beer drinking comps

But Vic excels in knocking off the Indian Student invasion

This series of posts of yours has really evened up our previous imbalance.

Time now to set quotas so that we can achieve target, regularly?

Default New South Wales versus Victoria.

When I first came to Australia I was told that the only good thing that ever came out of Sydney was the Hume highway.

Nevertheless there are some points where NSW may outscore Melbourne.

First they have the Chess Australia DGT boards.

Second they have Bondi which has to be the most civilized area in Australia as it has more kiwis and Russians than bogans.

Third it does not have to put up with Essendon, Collingwood or Carlton football club supporters. The Manley Sea eagles have a much higher class of supporters. Why anyone would leave the beach to watch thugball is something that I cannot understand.

NSW politics is much more interesting than Victorian politics. This goes back to the time of Governor Bligh.

The first time I went to Windy hill knowing very little about Australian Football there were two ladies in red and black in front of me who said the most appalling things about the players. It took me some time and close examination of the program to realize that they were bagging the Essendon players. They must have been right. The following year Essendon hired Sheedy who cleaned out the rubbish.

Excuse me but kiwis ARE bogans.

The Manly Sea eagles have a much higher class of supporters.
Manly is full of people who acquire money - a higher class of thief, is still a thief. That they support a thugby of any type, merely confirms their their antisocial nature.

If only Bill was here to demolish your obfusative(?) metric diversion! You could not admit the truth so you sidetrack. That won't work in a chess game.

NSW fought rest of OZ on the beaches, in the water and air just like Queen Serena fights and defeats everyone - Vic may have 12 apostles but Serena only needs two

Maybe its because the tournament was held in NSW and that there were more NSW entries.

Lets hold the Australian Championship in Ballarat and see how many players come south. It would be great for Victorians and croweaters of course.
