Andrew the best way to start a chess club is go to your local paper and ask them could they do a story on you about starting a club and call for a public meeting.
Papers are always looking for these types of stories.
After that put ads in the community section that is free to advertise.

You have 3 posts and your postcount is 14 - is this some stimulus package or just another hydra?

Odd,eh.
I speculate that he has deleted 14-3=11 posts. Perhaps it is part of hydra-hiding activity. I do not care. He is either up to no good, or just mucking about. I prefer to trust it is the later. If it is the former, he has to sleep at night knowing he is a maggot.

From the maggots I witnessed in our old pan dunny I doubted that they slept at all. they were always very active, they loved our poop

I just found out that the post count issue is not an issue of deleted posts. It is a mechanism for accelerating particular real posters' particular OzChess services. Nothing sinister, nothing dodgy.

Just ignore him Flick. I wish I could help but I don't know much about clubs in NSW, and the clubs that do exist in Queensland (apart from Kings of Chess and the Sunshine Coast) seem to be languishing in terms of attendance at the moment.
