So Laurence, please accept my sincere apology for the above mentioned incident, congratulations for your impressive efforts and achievements in chess tournaments, and best wishes for your school performance as well. I will see you later tonight at the Club, good luck! (")Spelled Lawrrence in the original |

Hi Calvin
I published in the Chess Chat Forum that I had asked Laurence for an interview which he politely declined due to overloaded schedule. That was not true! Laurence had no idea about it and as such never declined a proposal that was never made to him! In fact I had asked another junior, so it was a case of mistaken identity since the whole thing took place during a very noisy and confusing analysis of a complicated chess position and additionally I am not very proud of my eyesight either. So, the apology was made to Laurence since it was not fair for him to be involved in something he had no idea about! I hope this explanation makes sense! Thanks for the smiley! ![]() Cheers and good luck Elliott Renzies Last edited by justaknight : 06-22-2009 at 04:46 AM Reason: I deleted the second "not" in the "that was not not true!" sentence! Otherwise wrong conlcusions might be drawn.! ER |
