Default sausage talk

The sausage sizzle went really well. We collected about $850 on the day, so after expenses, we probably made about $700. It was also great to promote chess to the general public with David Beaumont and Jack Puccini and Elliot Renzies playing chess with them (and against eachother). Id like to thank the following people for their help on the day serving sausages, cooking sausages and promting MCC to the public:

David Beaumont
Elliot Renzies
David Stimson
Sema Tuncer
Anna Watson
Helena Smirnis
Jack Puccini
Roger McCart
Anne - Maree Rourke

I hope I havnt forgotten anyone!!! Thanks also to Sema Tuncer for donating the bread and to Alex Kaplan for organising and donating the sausages.

Hopefully we can have another one of these in January some time. I would highly recommend that all other chess clubs run a Bunnings Sausage Sizzle as you will make money for your club and promote your club (and chess in general) to the public while they eat sausages...

Nice to see this network of people co-operating for the success of such an enjoyable and useful community event. I look forward to be a a part of it again and this time to spend more hours. I hope it will not be in the first 10 days or so of Jan when I am going to have part of my break in Sydney!
Cheers and and a great cheerio to all involved!

I would just like to say I enjoyed my recent visit to the MCC very much, and meeting Dave and Grant and other MCC members in person was wonderful. Truly, the MCC is one of the best chess clubs in Australia and it sets the example other clubs should follow.

Keep up the good work guys!

I will put up a few of the pictures I took in the next coming days.

No, it was more of an emergency (but not quite that serious.)
