The "Welcome to the Melbourne Chess Club" in blue writing in post 18, is the link to the website. I wrote it in starting with www, but it transfered to that. It is the website though.

Default MCC facebook page

Hi Everyone

Not only does the MCC now have a brand new website (as already discussed), the MCC also has its own facebook page - thanks to the great work of MCC member Phil Gao. If you are on facebook, please join up or at least check it out.

Default MCC open from 10am this week!!!

Hi Everyone

Melbourne Chess Club will be open from 10am this week due to school holidays - meaning that anyone (junior or adult) can come in and play chess earlier.... For MCC members, this is free and for non-members it is $5 per day.

Default MCC sausage sizzle

On Friday 20th November, Bunnings in Preston will be hosting a sausage sizzle to raise money for the MCC. The event will run from 8am through until 4pm.

While we have the venue, time etc, we still need more people to jump on board and help serve sausages. You dont need to be an MCC member, and you dont even need to be a chess player. All you need to do is serve sausages.

I will more than happily provide a written reference for anyone who helps out (particularly school leavers) mentioning that you have helped out with this community activity for one of the oldest chess clubs in the world.

So if you are not working on that Friday, or if you have finished school or uni for the year, or if you dont have a job or if you are simply looking for something to do that day, please contact me asap and come down to help out. I can be contacted by phone 0401-925-075 or email grantszuveges@gmail.com

These Bunnings sausages sizzles usually raise between $1500 and $2000 per day for the organizations involved, so hopefully we can raise these much needed funds for the MCC.

Grant,
Perhaps you can use the remaining sausages for a sausage sizzle at the allegro before the end of the year. Probably during the allegro championship! Just a suggestion
