Default Ruy Lopez - Missed Opportunity

In GM Zong's game 5, I have added a new line.

It might help if I actually uploaded the game instead of thinking it would magically appear on its own.

I have added annotation and 2 different lines to the game above. Basically my argument is that if white played 13.) b5 instead of Bg5 he would have had a winning game for sure!

I agree that 13.) b5 looks like a really good move, but these are Grandmasters so maybe they know something that the rest of us mortals don't.

The variation above does not constitute best play by black.

I don't think white's mistake was Bg5. I think after black Rb8 white should have Bxf6. I think that would have given white a better chance.

I think maybe b5 then black plays Nd4. White must take and then black takes back with the bishop and there are two pawns on (e4 and b5). Oh, just spotted, after axb5 axb5 black can play Bxf2+ and pick up the exchange.

I don't understand what the line is. Can we start from move one?

13.b5 axb5
14.axb5 Bxf2+ and 15...Rxa1 picking up the exchange.

That alright?

After that for black Rxa1 which forces white to chose between the Knight or Bishop. Wait, I thought we were trying to solve for white.

i strongly disagree....your correction is not a good move at all, i don see white winning after b5 other than being biased(one sided)

I am unsure what line everyone is talking about. Okay fix_peat, what is the line you think doesn't lead to a good position?
