All was still as the coin spun in the air, a cry of tails never fails was heard and Jaydon chose white as his weapon for game 1.

The entire world was buzzing with excitement, all who were still with life were eagerly waiting for the opening game to begin. Some watched on the big scren outside the Tag Mahal, others viewed the screen on the sydney harbour bridge and hundreds of thousands lined the streets of new york for a chance to catch a glimpse of the game from a gigantic projector which had in fact replaced the statue of liberty.

The siberian chess tiger was quietly confident heading into the opening round whilst the challenger HBK wasn't as quiet and shouts of "momentum" littered the shoutbox and this very thread.

The classic blitz time control of 5 0 was set and everything was good to go.

*for those interested* the first round should begin at approximately 9:30 pm "ozchess time"

*END OF TRANSMISSION*

Until they realised the challenger didn't arrive until way past Jaydon's bedtime

That's ok but the rescheduled time will have to be something like tuesday night onwards.

For some opening preperation if I were to play 1.e4 you wouldn't happen to play 1.. c5 playing a dragon would you? My top secret sources are informing me of this...

Even if I were to play 1... c5, it's not necessarily going to be a dragon
