Please note in this endgame Jaydon was overcome by 7 evil ninja clowns and a teletubby. Not just any one either but the purple one.. Thus he was quite distracted..

Anywho HBK now has a reasonably good advantage in the series 4.5-2.5

Well would you believe it the cub won with the black pieces.

So now HBK takes a full point lead heading into his preferred time control of 10 minutes each

4.5-3.5 HBK leads the series

Are the 7 evil ninjas and a tellytubby holding you hostage, or are we going to finish this off?

IT has begun! 10 minute time controls. After messing up the attack, and swapping everything off to a rook vs Bishop endgame, HBK still comes out on top.

HBK goes up two points today.

I can't find the first game we played though. I'll have to look for it haha.

I tried to work back as much of the game as I can remember, but this is as far as I got. I remember my plans, but I don't remember Jaydon's :\

Perhaps Jaydon can fill in some of his moves as I recreate my moves. I was white, Jaydon was black.

Both players seem to be on reasonable form with HBK consitently scoring well in the various tournaments and myself smashing my old highest ever rating on ICC by a good 70 odd points. It was shaped up to be a good game.
In a long battle today the challenger got flagged despite finally breaking through the position with a solid advantage. I think that narrows the lead down to 3 points now..
Also note it was around about the 50 move mark that time pressure hit

After a long break another game was played in which an interesting middle position arose with the advantage swapping a few times before I went up a pawn, only to blunder that pawn a few moves later and end up with a draw.

8-5 in favour of HBK

Update:
HBK 8 - 5 Jaydon

HBK to play white next. Still in 10 minute time controls.
