Default A few collections of chess puzzles.

Spent a few hours today chasing down some chess puzzles and thought I'd share a few links.

Some of these range from basic beginner to moderately challenging.

Check it out when you get few hours to spare and want to train your mind to always be looking a few moves ahead.

ChessProblems -- this has potential to be a cool site, but most of the user submitted puzzles are garbage.

Secret gold mine? why no share?

I like the interactive ones better. The ones having to memorize the peices on a grid point make my head confused.. lol

Yeah, its fun to play with the pieces and move them around in order to try and solve a chess problem - but that is, kind of in a way, also cheating. :Guess What:

The purpose of a chess puzzle needs to be about learning and recognising new themes like exerting presure on pinned pieces. So I think as long as this is happening there is no problem with moving pieces around to solve chess puzzles.

huh, i never heard of that. You think it trains you to be a better player by doing puzzles by the grid points, rather than an interactive one. Sort of like training you to invision where the peices are going to be without actually moving them?
