I am not impressed having just taken a quick look at this website. How exactly does it work? I think there are far better choices for learning opening theory, but as a beginner chess player myself learning the opening isn't going to help improve my game. A strong player at my club said I need to be studying tactics to improve my chess.

there really are no websites where you can go to learn opening theory. do it the old fashioned way, by getting a book devoted to an opening like the benoni or something and then just read the book and go over the moves on a chess board you have close by. there is no secret to it, it is just an investment of time and mental energy.
