the do over- white says " i'll bet you $100 i can mate you in two moves",
black looks at the board for a while,"ok" black says quietly.they both put a $100 on the table.white plays re1, black grabs the cash and plays.......

Black can't play f4 vagrantnomad, because the a1 square shows that Black is playing from the other side of the board

Bxa8 and then f6?

But from here seeing the forced mate gets murky. Any hints?

yeah i posted that and then thought , hang on black could just move a pawn up too, then i didnt look at it again, the only way i can work these things out ,is by useing a board , so ill try agian soon .


anyway, try an easyer one.white to mate in one.

There is no mate in one here. And bad news with the other puzzle. I forgot the answer , so unless you have Shredder or someone else comes along, that puzzle won't be solved anytime soon.
