Not quite that easy, you still need mate in 4 if the queen takes

1.) Nb6+ Qxb6
2.) Qxb6

And now if:

2.) ... Rxa5
3.) Qxa5
checkmates

And if:

2.) .... Rc8 then
3.) Qxb7
mates.

Yup, these God given grandmaster abilities help sometimes :Guess What:

Best Regards,

AO

I'd love it if someone could please put up a few good puzzles. I really liked the one's that have a forced checkmate win in them.

You could try the puzzle in post 204, although it doesn't have a forced mate its still pretty good. Here it is again, white to move:

Best Regards,

Alex

A nice little tactical shot in a game I played on FICS today. White has just played 25. Qd2 thinking that if I take his queen, he takes mine, and his Bishop is immune from capture due to the backrank checkmate. What did my opponent overlook?

Yes! The bait I used was too irresistable for this fish! All I had to do after I picked up the free rook was grind him down with my extra material! :Guess What:
