Perhaps Sarah Anton might be the person to ask, she may have some photo's so I'll ask her for you....I haven't spoken to her for far too long anyway.

And one other thing about the website....it has a great advert for the Aus Junior CC on front page, but says there hasn't been Aus Juniors in Victoria for 10 years. I wasn't here at the time, but I believe Victoria held an Aus Junior Champs in 2005?

Anyway, I'll get in touch with Sarah and see if she has some pics....should I send them to Gerry?

Are you mad at her, or just lost touch?

Good idea, thanks; will wait on your action.

The ACF web-site says the 2005 title went to Molthoun Ly. I cannot recall him playing a junior event in Melbourne. So I went, hmmm, and then I did a saccade to here.
I will leave you to work through the three versions you have drawn attention to
  • After a 10 year absence the Australian Junior Championships will return to Victoria in January 2011.
  • says there hasn't been Aus Juniors in Victoria for 10 years.
  • I believe Victoria held an Aus Junior Champs in 2005?

The event was promoted by the ACF President, a South Australian. The Victoria bids (various offerings by Chess Kids, and Canterbury Junior/ Box Hill) were unsuccessful, and rejected as bids.
The event was a couple of days march from Melbourne.
So, technically in Victoria, but not by Victoria.

Noble Park meet on Saturday afternoons. Dandenong on Thursday nights, Elwood on Saturday afternoons 40 km from Dandenong, Canturbury Meet Fridays and Tuesdays.

Patterns of behaviour need to change, the wife needs to be informed and asked, kids might be busy with THEIR estabilshed routines etc.

Work/study commitments etc

Not every chess player is single and lives with their folks.

Response given in post #405.
No comment from Grant as to the answer, or the reason for the question?

I have been advised today to publicize that the current Executive team (then under the presidency of Katrin Wills - JAK) will be standing for re-election on the 29th of November 2009.
To which Alex replied:

Does this mean someone will be running against ChessGuru?
The absolute tone of MOZ’s following announcement left no room for further doubts or clarifications

Default go figure!

Notable temporal gap b/n Sobriquet's declaration (followed by Alex's query), and Moz's absolute statement.
Reality conclusion:
The Historian has the convenience of interfora acrobatics.
Has the Archivist?

Will history (even partially) repeat itself?

I am 100% sure not a single other person has any idea of which page you think is missing. There is no hope of commenting on what is a missing page.

There is even less than no hope of commenting on the final two oblique references to posters I have never seen appear on either board.

Missing as in none having bothered to post during that period of time. Historians and Archivists can be past, present or future researchers interested in the thread's topic.

At least give us a clue; who authored the missing posts/pages?

Whoa.
That is a highly risky line of questioning. I invite you to examine the signature line of the President of the MCC. He manages the most votes for executive positions on CV. It would be a courageous decision to have him off-side.

The last alleged missing post on Ozchess was by Boris in 2007.
Your allegation that there are new missing posts/pages should be referred to the Administrator.

Personally, none of my posts have gone missing.
