Great new website for the Frankston Chess Club to reflect the excellent new venue the club is now meeting at.
If you've not been down to Frankston recently you should drop in! I dropped in a couple of weeks ago and got a backgammon lesson as well as a few good games of chess! ![]() Frankston Chess Club - Home |

What was the turn out, roughly? Ten to fifteen players?

1) Is the site built using WordPress?
2) who is the webmaster?

I would guess it was Russel.
Looks good eh? BTW is Frankston really the second biggest club in Victoria?

One of the members, David someoneorother, setup the site and Ben Gavine is ongoing "webmaster".
There are also 2 or 3 other people who have access to make changes/additions to the site - so that shares the workload and there are no bottlenecks or delays if the webmaster is away. |

Why not ask me whether I am prepared to help you improve the calendar? If it is built within wordPress it cannot be as good as if it is built as a free standing calendar? that is an easy improvement to make.

Hi David - the calendar is a Google calendar - same as yours. I agree the Google calendar is excellent!
PS. I think that I get along well with Sandler and I think that he likes me well enough. I don't hold any grudges and I leave the past behind me. He does do a good job for CV and I respect him for the time he puts into CV - but just gets his coaching business and CV a bit confused... CV *should* be about clubs, after all clubs are the members of CV. |
