Yeah the first time I saw this game I didn't see anything in it for him, but earlier today I looked at that move and thought *oh wow, he missed a winning position* even though the piece that made the combination possible was defended :\

If he had played 26...Kf7 I think you would have been struggling Jaydon, but nice turn around win for you!

Certainly it was 99% luck and 1% fighting spirit
Then again the 99% wouldn't count without the 1%

My first game at a club for some time, I visited the Kings of chess club and sat down for my 60min +10sec game against a juniour from the club whose name I didn't note.. I completely messed up this opening but never really felt out of the game because I knew there would always be some sort of attacking chance with the g file open and it was used effectively throughout the game along with my bishop pair to win. It's also interesting to note my rook on a1 didn't move the entire game. Was also a nice checkmate at the end

If you're relying on an attack to win the game then you shouldn't be swapping off queens... however that was a beautiful finish mate

You played that spanish game a little unorthodoxly, maybe his rating is that high because he's Mr Opening theory and when you took him out of book, he was quivering in the face of your awesome onslaught.

Just got inolved in one of the funniest 1 minute battles against a player who is much stronger then me. In fact he thought it would be funny to put 21 minutes on my clock when he had mate in 1 to test whether I'd sit there or not. But he decided that 11 rematches was enough after this game, who could blame him

There isn't anything particularly special about this game but it has brought me to another best ever FICS rating

It took the rook to moves to get to where it stood after move 16 due to a mouseslip and I attacked the rook one time when I could have simply got the exchange for it

If you had shown this to Michael Baron, he would have said that your opponent raped the game of chess.
