Maybe he wanted to keep the g8 square covered and Bd5 would be met with Bb7, leading to its loss.

I think its a game where poor play by LMatheson's opponent allowed him to win without too much effort.

No actually my fritz says +4.44 for white after move 46

Rxf4+ probably scared the living day lights out of him when he realised he had a serious stalemate issue , nice shot!

My apologies mate, when I made some changes today to the attachment settings your pgn file was lost. As such your game won't display.

On the plus side, as far as I can tell, this seems to be the only game that is missing and I did get to see it before I disappeared. I don't suppose you still have the pgn and could put it back up again?
