Today I played on FICS. I have gone back to FICS because my ICC membership expired and I also wanted a change of scenery. I started off light today with only one blitz game, but my opponent made me work for it.

Thanks Chess-BH - I love your avatar btw.

Well, today's training session did not go well at all. In fact, as I type these words I am very angry with myself because I lost. I don't handle losing very well, and that is why I gave up over the board tournament chess.

If you want to see the disgrace, its below.

Alex

Everyone loses sometimes AO, and I thought you played well. You should be happy even if you missed the result you wanted.

Thanks LC

Well today there was not much to sing about on FICS, but one game where I flag someone with only a blockaded pawn left is below. That cheered me up a little.

Best Regards,

Alex

Its looks like AO was winning it, then he was losing it, and then he swindled it! Ha, nice game AO. Thanks for sharing.

That's pretty accurate Brad.

Today for training I played 4 blitz games against a friend of mine rated 1500 ACF. I won 3, lost 0, and drew 1.

That sounds like a great result AO. Can you put up any of the games?

Not from yesterday Zebra because they were over the board games and no score sheets were kept. But today I tussled with the FICS fishes, and those games are below.

Best Regards,

AO

Default Today's Fishing Expedition!

I went fishing on FICS today (aka hunting fish for their rating points). This game below is an example of a fish who made me work hard for my points. In the end I had to use the ugly method of flagging it death with only one pawn left!
