i went through b22 recently in my database looking at 2 c3 games and it seems that sergei really loves playing a lot of closed sicilians as white !

on a side note, he also likes playing the black side of the scandinavian (the ...d6 retreat for the queen) and does reasonably well which is interesting !!

Yes, but it is the unique final position on the board which makes this game so lovable and great! I mean, how often does one use both rooks to cut off the escape routes, and then bring in the Queen for the final blow?

In the heat of battle my opponent could not see such things! Even if he could, I simply would have attacked from a new angle, again causing him confusion and having him succumb to his own fear!
