Fantastic pictures Elliott! Nicely done.

The Queenstown tournament is really becoming one of Oceania's marquis events, probably second only to the Doeberl Cup!

Thanks J2G.

It really is a great event and I encourage all OZchess members to give it a serious thought next time is up!

It is not expensive at all.

There are always good deals with the airfares!

In my case it was the best and cheapest ever accommodation I 've ever enjoyed in a chess tournament!

Would you believe it if I told you that for the 10 days my share was just $400 AUS? ($40 AUS a day).

That in a well organised state of the art house with all facilities provided, super modern appliances, the best view in town etc!

View of the Lake and the Mountains from our balcony!

Plus it fits perfectly with my decision not to play again in tournaments with more than one round per day!

Rounds starting at 3 pm give players the opportunity to go sightseeing for the biggest part of the day and then come to the venue and relax with a game of chess!

Go Queenstown next time! And enjoy a lovely chess holiday!
