2012 Noble Park Chess Club Championships

A 9 Round Swiss Tournament ACF and FIDE Rated !!!

Venue: Paddy O’Donoghue Centre, 18-34 Buckley St, Noble Park 3174( plenty of parking available and 2 minutes walk from the train station)

Entry fees: GM and IM free, Full fee $50, Concession and Juniors $40

To be able to play in this tournament, players have to be club members. Yearly membership fees are $120 full and $100 concession with $85 family membership for each family member( $25 for third person if he or she is a junior)

Prize fund: (based on 30 entries)

1st: $300 + voucher for next tournament
2nd:$150 + voucher for next tournament
3rd: $50 + voucher for next tournament

2 Rating Groups: 1st $50+ voucher for next tournament, 2nd $50 in each division
Best Junior Prize U 1800: 1st $50+voucher for next tournament, 2nd $50 (min 6 entries)

If there are more than 30 entrants, the prize fund will increase.

Prizes will be shared equally between players on equal scores, but there will be a playoff for the Club Champion if there is a tie for first place and also there will be a tie-break system for vouchers. Club champion and under 1600 champion to receive trophies.

Starting time: 3 p.m. sharp on all playing days

Rate of play: 90 minutes + 30 sec per move

Playing dates: February 11/2/2012 Round 1 18/2/2012 Round 2 25/2/2012 Round 3 March 3/3/2012 Round 4 10/3/2012 Club closed 17/3/2012 Round 5 24/3/2012 Round 6 31/3/2012 Round 7 April 14/4/2012 Round 8 28/4/2012 Round 9 Venue: Paddy O’Donoghue Centre, 18-34 Buckley St, Noble Park 3174( plenty of parking available and 2 minutes walk from the train station) Entry fees: GM and IM free, Full fee $50, Concession and Juniors $40 To be able to play in this tournament, players have to be club members. Yearly membership fees are $120 full and $100 concession with $85 family membership for each family member( $25 for third person if he or she is a junior) Prize fund: (based on 30 entries) 1st: $300 + voucher for next tournament 2nd:$150 + voucher for next tournament 3rd: $50 + voucher for next tournament 2 Rating Groups: 1st $50+ voucher for next tournament, 2nd $50 in each division Best Junior Prize U 1800: 1st $50+voucher for next tournament, 2nd $50 (min 6 entries) If there are more than 30 entrants, the prize fund will increase. Prizes will be shared equally between players on equal scores, but there will be a playoff for the Club Champion if there is a tie for first place and also there will be a tie-break system for vouchers.
