AUSTRALIA DAY WEEKENDER 2012 January 26th – 29th Format: 7 round Swiss Rating: FIDE and ACF rated Time Controls: 90 min + 30 seconds per move Round Times: Thursday January 26th: Round 1, 11am Round 2, 3.30pm Friday January 27th: Round 3, 7pm Saturday January 28th: Round 4, 11am Round 5, 3.30pm Sunday January 29th: Round 6, 11am Round 7, 3.30pm Byes: Players may take 2 half point byes in rounds 1 – 5. Half point byes are not given in rounds 6 and 7. Grand Prix: The event will be a Class 1 ACF Grand Prix event AND the first event of the 2012 MCC Grand Prix! Prizes: $300 first prize will be guaranteed Entry Fees: $65 full and $55 concession.
