In one of the near future BHCC / CJCC events a special congratulatory celebration should be held in honour of Sally Yu!

Top students poached by overseas talent scouts | Herald Sun

Sally equaled her brother Derek's fantastic academic achievements and actually it would be great if the Club awarded them trophies or certificates of excellence together!

I am sure Gerrit and all the club members share my feelings towards two of our brightest ever juniors!

Having said this, I encourage equal honours to be presented to Chris, Laurence and other BHCC / CJCC kids for combining brilliant chess with academic achievements!

Similarly, an encouragement should be extended to other clubs to follow suit!

Entry fee: $5, Visitors fees $5.
No Visitors fees for Box Hill Chess or Canterbury Junior Chess members.
Clock start: 7.45 PM.

Prize Fund $2.00 of each entry will go to the prizes.
Rules: FIDE rapid play rules apply. There is no requirement to score.
Enter: on the day by 7.30 at the venue
