The uniformity of results is surely - 'metrics remarkable' , especially in light of the context-homogeneity of the sample from which it is derived .

Not sure I get your drift Ax.

My take on the results are
  • these ratings are rather reliable because these juniors have been in group coaching streams for a year or two. They have not had individual coaching which does tend to produce larger fluctuation (increases) in ratings.
  • it is round 1 of a SWISS so the rating difference in each pairing is at a maximum.
  • I anticipated the results\ wink.

Do the coaching streams work better than individual coaching? If so which coaches are considered the best for junior players who want to improve?

Discount applies because we do not rate this event; one of the very few unrated events at Box Hill Chess Club.
