I vote for Justin vs Laurence on the DGT display on Tuesday - an interesting match btw two up-and-coming juniors.

A great result from Thomas Feng showing improvement with the experience of attending the WORLDs in Turkey last month.

A win by the VP Dalton to take the wind out of night sailing.

A nice upset win by Manoj Anguswamy.

A catch-up game from a previous round saw Rad Chmiel strike back for the oldies.

The November Rookies and Queens Cup is scheduled for this coming Sunday.
Expect the usual turn-out of 60 players. Plus, I was asked a few times, at the recent ELWOOD FIDE tournament held at the Canterbury venue, whether adults could enter. I advised that there was a money adult prize or two, and desperates were regular attendees. I mentioned a few names and I think a few more 'desperates' will now attend. Promises to be a good afternoon of 7 games at ALLEGRO time-controls. Entries by 12.15, just after noon.

Be prepared to be challenged by the 'old and bold' and the upstarts.
