That makes 3 votes for the pairing.
We just now need to work out who makes the decision.

Default Results from round 1

Code:
1	Lacey, David 1729	[0]	.5:.5	Szuveges, Narel	1841	1711	[0]
2	Podvorac, Z 1580	[0]	0:1	Matheson, L 1686	[0]
3	Beattie, Roger	1857	1655	[0]	0:1	Chmiel, Rad	1946	1654	[0]
4	Lawson, Shane	1893	1690	[0]	1:0	Bergmanis, Bob 1617	[0]
5	Raine, Marcus	2062	1943	[0]	1:0	Tan, Justin	1836	1683	[0]
The choice of Raine v Tan turned out to be a bit of a fizzer sadly.

In retrospect though

Lawson v Bergmanis finished even earlier.
Podvorac v Matheson was only interesting for the metric on the number of ways to win once Laurence got the advantage.
Beattie V Chmiel only interested the analysis room because Fludey foolishly offered that a quicker win was possible.
Leaving Lacey v Szuveges as the only other option. And that was always going to be drawn out because Narelle usually heads for blocked positions.

So we turn to next Tuesday night. Get your voting pencils ready. Here are the options.
Code:
1	Szuveges, Narel	1841	1711	[.5]	:	Tan, Justin	1836	1683	[0]
2	Bergmanis, Bob 1617	[0]	:	Raine, Marcus	2062	1943	[1]
3	Chmiel, Rad	1946	1654	[1]	:	Lawson, Shane	1893	1690	[1]
4	Matheson, L 1686	[1]	:	Beattie, Roger	1857	1655	[0]
5	Lacey, David 1729	[.5]	:	Podvorac, Z 1580	[0]
Dads who want the game on display so that they know what time to drive to pick-up should vote responsibly.

It was still interesting to see Raine trot out 5. Qe2. Looks like a prepared line to me.

Next Tuesday night you mean? I'd probably go for Chmiel vs Lawson.

I would favour Matheson v Beattie as Roger schooled with Narelle and heads for closed positions which the junior will like to pick apart.

Default On view now via DGT board display. Flude v Schon.

The DGT display of Board 1 of round 2 in the Box Hill Friday GRADES tournament karked it at move 29 on Friday last. A gremlin entered the building, or some such similar explanation, is offered. Apologies to all who were following the game through the usual link.

I have reconstructed the game to the end, using the winners scoresheet.
How to account for not looking after the centre of the hive? Dunno, but Fludey has submitted some hints on end-game play in the Box Hill newsletter due for release this week.

ps game on display now. Will be over-written by a new game Tuesday this week, and Flude v Schon game will then move to the archive on the Box Hill site. The Andy Warhol effect?

Nicely calculated win for the youngster.
Game will be viewable until Friday this week and then archived.
