Melbourne Chess Club

CHRISTMAS SWISS 2011


December 16th, 17th and 18th

Format:
6 round Swiss

Rating:
FIDE and ACF rated

Grand Prix:
To be announced

Time Controls:
90 min + 30 seconds per move

Round Times:
Friday December 16th: Round 1, 7pm
Saturday December 17th: Round 2, 10am
Round 3, 2.30pm
Round 4, 7pm
Sunday December 18th: Round 5, 10am
Round 6, 2.30pm

Half Point Byes:
A maximum of 2 half point byes can be taken by a player in rounds 1-4. Half point byes will not be given in rounds 5 and 6.


Entry Fees:
$55 full and $45 concession. MCC members receive a discount of $10. Entries close 6.30pm, Friday December 16th.

Prizes:
To be announced.

Arbiter:
To be announced.

Pairings:
Swissperfect will be used.

The prize pool has been announced, with the following prizes guaranteed:

1st: $500
2nd: $300
3rd: $200

Rating prizes to be announced.

The event will be an ACF Grand Prix Class 2 event.
