Default Billanook CCCC- Final Tournament - 5th November

Hi everyone,

Just a reminder that the FINAL tournament in the 2011 Billanook College Chess Championship Cup Series is coming up on Saturday 5th November. The prizes are divided between adults and juniors. You don't have to have played in previous tournaments. Everyone is welcome to play, so it's a great tournament for families to attend.

Grand Prize Winners: This final event in the series will also include the prize-giving for the Overall Series Winners. In all, $700 in prize-money will be given out on the day. The Progressive Score Table can be found here.

Here are the details of the full series:
BILLANOOK COLLEGE CHESS CHAMPIONSHIP CUP 2011

Northern Star Chess is conducting the BCCC series of tournaments again in 2011.
This year the series will consist of 5 weekend tournaments at Billanook College in Mooroolbark and is open to all junior and adult chess players from beginner to master strength.

DATES FOR THE FIVE WEEKEND TOURNAMENTS:
1. Saturday 26th March - completed
2. Sunday 12th June - completed
3. Saturday 13th August - completed
4. Sunday 18th September - completed
5. Saturday 5th November (Final Event – Grand Prizes Presentation)


VENUE: Billanook College
197-199 Cardigan Road
Mooroolbark, Victoria 3138
(Melway Ref: [52 C1])

COST: $15 per tournament

FORMAT: 7 round Swiss

TIME CONTROL: 15 minutes per player

PRIZES: Cash prizes of $335 are offered for each of the 5 individual tournaments, along with medals and trophies. Individual scores for each tournament accumulate over all 5 events to determine the grand prizes and winners of the perpetual Billanook College Chess Championship cups, to be presented at the conclusion of the final event. The 2011 prize structure has been modified to simplify prize award and balance eligibility for prizes between adults and juniors. For more information, visit the Northern Star Chess website: Prizes

Default Final Billanook CCCC Tournament Results

The results, cross-table and, shortly, the photographs for the 5th round of the Billanook College Chess Championship Cup can be found on the Northern Star Chess website here.

Ari Dale was back to his best, winning with 6.5/7. He also gained the Grand Total Prize for the series after coming first in three of the events and placing second and third in the others.

Well done, Ari!
