Of course I would point out I had like less then a minute on the clock and was losing so was more concentrated on swindling him. That is life, that is chess. If you want to be a chess player you have gotta take the losses with the wins. As a side note, getting a visual perspective that shows how players react under pressure is good for players and spectators. cheers,

Haha You have gotta take the losses if you want to be a winner at a chess. But seriously, he played well and deserved to beat me. Did you know he beat Rutherford in the next round and stopped him winning outright! Voonie is a dead set legend of the game. The real duck and champagne!

1. The strength was fantastic
2. Building the allegro is a focus next year. There are some good initiatives afoot and any ideas are always welcome. 3. I'm told Frank has written down and taught at least a few people to operate the DGT, so we have no excuse for that. I'm not sure it's as important as getting more people/members down to the club but we should make full use of an expensive piece of tech!! Frank- how's that live chat/DGT plugin coming?

Video coverage is in some ways easier than DGT coverage, however the big dilemma with video is the amount of bandwidth required to broadcast it live, although with YouTube its pretty straightforward to do short 'highlight' type clips during/after the event. |
